The past and present of electric fireplaces

Update:11 Mar
The fireplace is an authentic imported product, which is mainly built against the wall indoors to make a fire for heating (there are also independent fireplaces and outdoor fireplaces).

The basic structure of the fireplace includes: a decorative mantelpiece and a functional fireplace core. According to different materials, mantels can be roughly divided into: marble mantels, wooden mantels, imitation marble mantels (resin), stacked mantels, etc. ) fireplace, there are also gas fireplaces that later evolved to use natural gas as fuel, and today's electric fireplaces that use electricity as energy.

Traditional fireplaces often need the support of architectural design, such as the cooperation of hearth and chimney. The furnace can be made of cast iron or built with refractory bricks.

Today, fireplaces have become one of the must-have equipment in Western homes, and in view of their special decorative role, fireplace culture has become a common practice. According to the culture of different countries, fireplaces can also be divided into: American fireplaces, English fireplaces, French fireplaces, etc.

The so-called electric fireplace is a fireplace that is heated by electricity. A more rigorous definition is an electric heating device with a certain interior decoration that uses the principle of optical reflection to simulate the flame effect of a traditional real fire fireplace. Therefore, electric fireplaces are also called simulated fireplaces, or simulated flame fireplaces.

The basic structure of the electric fireplace is similar to that of the traditional fireplace, the main difference is the main part - the fireplace core. The fireplace core of the electric fireplace is composed of exclusive equipment such as flame simulation generator and fan heater, especially the simulation flame generator is unique. It is understood that the flame simulation generator is a device for generating simulated flames in an electric fireplace, including a casing and a fire trap simulation device arranged in the casing. The flame simulation device is an optical system for simulating a simulated flame in a flame simulation generator. It consists of a light source, a rotating shaft with a driving device, a reflector, a filter plate and an imaging screen that are spaced on the rotating shaft. There are 4 types of simulation device, light source reflection type flame simulation device, mechanical motion reflection type flame simulation device, and video playback type flame simulation device. In addition, since there is no exhaust gas, there is no need to equip the electric fireplace with a hearth and chimney like a traditional fireplace, and the architectural design is more concise.

Compared with traditional fireplaces, electric fireplaces avoid many problems such as smoke pollution, heat energy waste, inconvenient use, and fire safety hazards caused by traditional fireplaces.
